If my blog were to come off of the page and become something else it would be…
- A list of rated anime maybe presented in vlog format.
- A series of videos with my acting out the animes within a few minutes. (one per video)
- A vlog of my hilarious facial expressions while watching anime. (live vlogging?)
- A book with brief descriptions of anime.
I can’t really think of anything else that it could become. Being that it is a very specific blog I can’t really have it be that flexible. These ideas in themselves are also ideas that I would never actually go through with. I’m not really a vlog kind of person.
Sure it seems like a cool thing to live blog and it’s something that I feel like I could definitely do but I think I would come to hate it. My current blog is about anime and what I see myself doing as a live blog post is reacting to an episode. Completely doable and might be kind of fun. One side affect though would be the potential release of spoilers for people who didn’t watch the episode yet. Though I might be able to avoid that if I just put a time and my reaction without any content of the episode.
I feel like if I had to do it all the time it would take my attention away from the episode itself so that I can type my reaction to what’s happening. I might miss something or if I didn’t it just plain wouldn’t be the same experience. I love watching anime and when I do watch it I never take my eyes off of the screen. It’s a hard skill to acquire but when watching I see both the subtitles and the animation; I can read and watch at the same time. That doesn’t sound too difficult but at first it bothers yours eyes. Adding writing a blog post to those two things I will definitely start to overload my multitasking abilities.
The only good things I see about live blog posting with regards to my own personal blog is that some of my reactions to anime might be funny. Actually I’m pretty sure they would be because anime is the only thing that makes me turn into a fan girl and I high pitch squeal at the exciting parts. It might bring a comedic aspect to my blog. Still I don’t see the positives being greater than the negatives.
My name is Yadybel Ayala and I am a third year. I am kind of shy at first but I am a jokester at heart. I am currently doing pre-med with a biology major (as hillary stated in her post). Just like her I am a commuter and sleep on my comfortable tempur-pedic bed. Life as a science major sucks!!!! No sleep at all but you learn to eventually live and love it, although it may take more time loving it because most people like their sleep.
I am a mix. My mother is from Dominican Republic and my father is from El Salvador. I grew up with VERY hispanic parents where la chancla and la Correa were very threatening as children. If you do not know what I mean watch this video and you will understand.I grew up in a house hold where family is everything. Besides my parents I live with my 13 year old brother, Chris, who is six years younger than me. Even though our age difference is quite large we are extremely close and I love him to death. He will forever be my baby brother ( I say this as I squeeze his cheeks). I also have an older brother, Jaime, who is two years older than I am but he does not live with me. We have the same father but different mothers. He is the person who got me into all things japanese and anime at the age of four.
I love watching anime and reading manga it’s kind of my thing. Growing up with it made me love it more over the years and the passion my brother had for it and it’s art was also passed onto me. My favorite anime’s have been Naruto, Bleach,Death note, Sailor moon oh and so many more. I also love to draw ; being busy at school has taken away time from drawing but I still love it! You can say I’m kind of on the nerdy side. Besides watching anime I loved to watch drama’s. I first got into them by watching Japanese dramas but then I discovered the Korean channel and started watching those; Korean dramas are the best. Watch them all the time and Lee Min Ho is the best….just saying
Another hobby of mine is watching lots and lots of tv shows. I currently have a very very long list but my top shows right now are Grey’s Anatomy (omg why do people die each season (still crying over sloan and lexi), Teen wolf (If Derek leaves I leave! I’m still mad they took Jackson), The walking dead (i really think this will happen to us and why are all the women in that show annoying), pretty little liars, New Girl, Game of thrones, Revenge and beauty and the beast. I also got into the new show Twisted. The end of the first season definitely hooked me to this new series. Love, hate, mysteries, secretes, murders and psychopaths? These are some great shows but my all time favorite has to go to Friends. No character will make me laugh more than Chandler Bing!!!! Can you BEEE anymore obvious!! I guess I say this because I’m a 90’s kid and our television is so much better than television today. 90s had great sitcoms.
Besides school and hobbies my friends are a great part of my life. I am a goofy person so I love the fact that all my close friends embrace my comedic side. I have three close friends. My first has been my best friend since the the 6th grade and we have a beautiful relationship of 9 years, Astrid Mendoza. She is the friend I’ve had the longest and I am an absolute clown in front of her; I keep her around because she laughs at all my corny jokes and finds it entertaining when I attempt to do a british accent and it turns country. My next best friend is Jennifer Olivares. We have been friends since the 9th grade. We don’t live in the same town but we make sure to see each other often. She giggles more than I do and laughs at my jokes to (clearly I’m only friends with people who laugh at my jokes). My third best friend is Hillary Escoboza. We met our freshman year in college and have been inseparable ever since. She is like me, a person who loves to laugh and make jokes especially in very uncomfortable and awkward situations. If you ever find me on campus you’ll most likely find her somewhere close (right beside me). Even though I haven’t given her book back I know that she’ll still stick around. Those are my three closest friend but I also have another person very near and dear to my heart which is my Canadian cousin Laura Sparapani. We do not look related but we are. I thought I was clumsy until I met her. She can not go anywhere without stumbling or tripping or hurting or breaking something (it’s really funny and Astrid thinks so too). She is clumsy in the sense that if you were right next to her ad told her to catch a basketball she would most likely break her finger (true story). She is probably one of the funniest people on this planet.
This is a bit….well a lot about me. Hope you guys enjoyed! 🙂
The name is Donna. Currently I’m an undergraduate enrolled in the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University New Brunswick. I’m a senior and this year is quite exciting. I am majoring in Geography taking the environmental track as well as completing a Certificate in International Geographic Perspectives for the major. So what am I doing in a creative writing course about blogging? I’m also minoring in both music and english. I love to write creatively and I find blogging to be an interesting outlet to do so.
I’m pretty diverse with my interests as you could tell with my major and minors. The first thing I’d like to confess though, is that I have a small obsession with anime. And when I say small, I mean colossal. I can’t count how many series I’ve watched. My favorite that I still watch is One Piece but I definitely have other favorites, like some that are only 26 episodes as opposed to 600. I’m kind of a geek, nerd, dork… whatever you’d like to call it. I love video games too, though I haven’t been too much into them since college started. I did have a little excursion with World Of Warcraft for a bit. It’s a fun MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) and I’d still play it if I had the time and money but I’m not one of those people to get sucked into it and give up anything and everything to play it.
Next I’m a Rutgers Marching Scarlet Knight. I’ve played tRUmpet for 12 years now and of those 12 this year will be the eighth year that I am marching. I love this sport, and yes it is indeed a sport. So if you go to football games keep an eye out for me! Being in the band here at Rutgers University really was a life changer. You meet so many friends while doing something you love! It’s great! The Rutgers Marching Band also led me to becoming a Brother Mu Beta Psi the National Honorary Music Service Fraternity. And yes I said Brother and Fraternity! We’re coeducation because a musician is a musician. I honestly can’t imagine where I would be right now had I not done all these things.
My favorite genre of music is alternative but I also like punk rock, rock ‘n’ roll, ska and other sorts of music that would be closely related to those categories. I don’t really have a favorite band or a favorite song. I simply like what I like at the time. More often than not though I like songs I don’t know the names to because they were the ones I would hear on the radio as a kid but just never listened to when they announced the song title and artist. Here is my ‘favorite’ song for the time being. Dear Agony
The last fun fact I’ll leave you with is that I am Polish! The title to this post says “hello” but its more of a “hey!” I myself am American born but my father was born in Poland. My mother has polish roots on her side but was American born as well. I’m 100% Polish! I’ve lived with my Father though for most of my life and my step-mother was also born in Poland so even though I’m not completely fluent I can basically understand everything with a few exceptions. I can also kind of read and write it!
Miło cię poznać!
(It’s nice to meet you!)
